Updating Your Sandisk Sansa Clip Firmware
Updating the firmware on your Sansa Clip is extremely easy, thanks to Sandisk. Here are the instructions for how to update your firmware:
Download Firmware Updater. Start by downloading the Sandisk Firmware Updater to your computer, and then install the file.
Plug in your Player. Plug your Sansa Clip in to your computer using the included USB cable. (Note that some players need to be in MSC mode for this.)
Then you just sit back and watch! The Sandisk Firmware Updater will recognize your player, check to see if the firmware needs updated, and then it will automatically download and install any new firmware updates, automatically.
When it is finished, you simply unplug your Sansa Clip from the computer.
Tip: Switching to MSC mode.
To switch to MSC mode, grab your Sansa Clip and press:
Menu > Settings > USB > MSC
