1. All Kinds of MP3 Player Developments
The last issue focused on new MP3 players, but I keep finding out about more, so I had to at least introduce you to them!
First on my list is the Archos Gmini 400, a new mp3 player that also offers video playback and photo viewing on its 2.2 inch color lcd screen. For photo viewing it has a built-in CompactFlash card reader so you can get pictures straight from your digital camera.
At first glance I actually though the Gmini 400 was a portable video game console because of its screen, and it turns out, it is! And it looks like you have choices for games, so you're not stuck with a choice between chess and checkers.
Know what remote access is? It's for accessing your home computer from a remote location, and now, to my great surprise (and happiness!), the new Samsung YP-53 player comes with special remote access software! You just pop it into any USB port on any computer and you can gain secure access to your home pc!
To finish off this update, I'll talk about a new player that isn't as unique as the others, but it's really nice for being an mp3 player!
It's the Rio Carbon Hard Drive Player, and it offers 5 gb of memory supported by 20 hours of battery life. 20 hours! It's also small and sleek, and totally awesome. Check out a picture online, you'll see what I mean. Hurry though - Rio is only producing 500 of these limited edition players, so if you want one for Christmas, get it now! These will sell fast.
