5 Cheap MP3 Players (All Under $100)

These days, a cheap MP3 player isn't necessarily a bad MP3 player. A lot of the coolest MP3 players are pretty cheap, and if you don't need large LCD screens or 160 GB of space for video, you can get a great player for around $50.

Here are my favorite cheap mp3 players:

Sandisk Sansa Clip

For just $50 for the 2 GB model (you can choose from 1 and 2 GB models) you can get one of the best sounding, feature-packed MP3 players on the market. The Sansa Clip is a tiny MP3 player, but it holds quite a few songs, is easy to carry, and of course it's durable. All of that plus excellent sound quality make this the best value in flash-based MP3 players.

Apple iPod Shuffle

One of the smallest MP3 players around, the iPod Shuffle cuts back on features so it can cut the size down to almost nothing. There is no screen at all, but it sure looks sleek and cool. However, the 1 GB Shuffle costs as much as the 2 GB Sansa Clip.

Creative Zen Stone Plus

Another tiny 2 GB player, the Zen Stone Plus is packed with features and comes in six cool colors, so you can make a fashion statement with it, too.

Samsung YP-U3

This slim, shiny, and sleek MP3 player looks like a pack of gum but is much more versatile. It stores 2 GB of files, and it also has a built-in USB connector eliminating the need for connector cables. (Doubles as a USB flash drive.)

creative Zen V Plus

For anyone willing to surpass the $50 range, the Zen V Plus offers full multimedia capabilities for under $75. It contains 4 GB of storage, and along with music, it can store and playback photos and videos on the bright 1.5" OLED screen. Definitely one of the best values of all Portable Media Players!
